Has Yahoo Answers changed over the years?
I remember it opened sometime in 2006? And I missed that year, when my life was still much simpler. I missed hanging out in YA, but I haven't come back here for so long. So now I wonder how has it changed?

yeah must be around that time, but i only joined mid 2006. before i left YA about a year after, i saw the start of those so-called trolls and pranks. well i guess it hasn't changed much if you say they are still around.
thanks for the warning, will keep extra caution while im surfing YA.

It opened December 2005. I think I may be one the 'oldest' members still around, though I did not join until 2006. The site has changed tremendously over the years, sometimes for the good, sometimes for the bad. But that is only to be expected, as it resembles a growing, aging lifeform more than it does a static, mechanical construct. Personally, I'm glad not to see obscene avatars on here at the rate we used to, and when we do, they go away quickly. But the ratio of 'troll' to 'serious user' increases daily, which drives many good users off the site now.
