Ichiro plays professional baseball earning + 18million a year... in 1000 years the people of Japan will regard Ichiro as a myth, a legend of his time... a false god of sorts.
Deserve is hardly the word to use, and, if anything 2001 was the year it should have happened. I know he wants to win, but he just isn't the type of person to up and sell out like that... he knows what he has, why ruin it...

There is more to being loyal to a team/city than being a mercenary to get a championship/

i dont think at this point he cares...hes making a lot of money in seattle...and hes also very very loyal to his team..as is king felix, he is VERY happy in seattle and plans on staying.
rings arent everything, its about loving what your doing and the people you are doing it with
