Is Hideki Matsui fantasy worthy?

Or a waste of time? Better possible free agents to pick up? I'm in a 12 team league head to head.

In my league, he qualifies at LF as well as UTIL - so that's not that big a deal...

He's not a flashy pick, like a Mike Morse, Brandon Belt, Ike Davis, or Gaby Sanchez; he's not a over-the-top power asset like in years past, and he might not be playing all games this year - but that said, he does figure to be more like the Hideki of old than that last season...if only a little.

Source(s): You could do worse in a 12 team.

Matsui is only available at DH, so it kind of sucks that you could only use him in the UTIL position. I would look for someone else. I would look to see if Infante is still available. I would get him or maybe even Dexter Fowler or Austin Jackson.

Look to see if any of them are available, they are safer picks in my opinion.

I think he is a great guy to have on your team if you are not relying on him for anything major. He can be a good player to start for a week or when there's an empty slot. He's a solid hitter, but being only at DH does limit your use of his bat.
