What is the procedure for freezing bananas for making banana bread from them later on?
Do the bananas have to be brownish-black ripe before freezing? Should they be mashed, before freezing? Any information would be greatly appreciated! And thank you in advance!

There really is no procedure, it's just your preference. They don't have to be over-ripe before you freeze them, they're going to go very ripe and soft in the freezing process. You can either freeze them whole with the peel on or remove the peel. Mashing them first is also a matter of personal preference. My only suggestion is to make sure you store them in something air-tight, otherwise they will get freezer burn.

I never freeze bananas except to make ICE CREAM with them. The easiest Banana Bread recipe is to take a BOXED YELLOW CAKE MIX and mash in a banana in the dough.. it makes the best banana bread I have ever made.. and the easiest.

I throw them in freezer with peel on when they get past prime and peel as I use them when thawed. If I purchase at discount , black, I puree in blender and freeze in containers in premeasured cup amounts for muffins and nut breads.
