When somebody corrects you for one little typo.........?

I am normally a stickler for spelling, and I utilize my fullest efforts to maintain excellent spelling. This shows on my Facebook profile.

I got a new phone. My very first smart phone and was super ecstatic. I tried Pandora radio and loved it. So, I wrote a comment expressing my love for it. Posted the status and saw that I misspelled a word by one letter. "Vampre" instead of "Vampire." No big deal. I tried copying and pasting, but the phone is so new that it was a pain. So I figure, one letter why worry about it.

I see a notification a couple hours later. My husband's friend's GF decided to correct me! She wrote, "It's vampire! :)"

You see, she is also a stickler, but unlike me...she goes on everbody else's statuses and corrects them, which I find to be very rude. She also continually puts down people in her status for misspelling certain words.

I was not in a good mood to begin with, then this. So I quicky retort with, "Um, I got a new phone and I'm trying to get used to the new keyboard. You didn't need to point that out."

She never responded. So I deleted both her rude comment and my response.

Do you think she is going to start drama over this?? Because she is in my husband's circle of friends and I really don't want to deal with her BS. I think I handled it tactfully.

She is 19 yrs old FYI

I see myself as a perfectionist and I'm always using correct grammar and spelling and I NEVER Use slang unlike other people of my age. I don't feel the need to correct's people's spelling in statuses and I think it's a bit out of hand to keep doing it. . Not sure why she wants to waste her time doing it either. I only correct people if i'm talking to them on facebook chat or on Msn or something like that and usually, i'm close to that person.

Hmm over a spelling? yes it can be annoying, the only solution is to ignore them or start an argument. Personally i don't think that's worth my time, so i just get over it. I don't think she'll start drama over it, unless you 'made' it seem like a "harsh" tone. Just try not to point out too many mistakes, some people can get slightly butthurt by it. (experience)

Let it go. There is no reason to start anything over this, it's immature. You should have just left the comment she made alone and not responded. People make mistakes, both you and her will get over it.
