Should I date this guy?
He's two years older than me, really cute but a few of my friends think he's kind of weird. I don't really like those friends anyway, but I don't know if the friends that I do like would think he's weird. I don't think he's weird. We're both actors, and in improv he's a little weird, but it's all to be funny. If you're not weird in improv, you're not funny. Anyway, he's really into me, and super nice, telling me I'm pretty at random times and saying he'll protect me from this one creepy guy who always follows me. But he's less popular than me and I worked really hard to be as popular as I am. What should I do?

He likes you. If you like him, too, date him. Honestly, that made you sound very self-absorbed (well, in the popularity standard). It shouldn't matter if he's "lower" on the popularity scale than you are, seriously. That's just wrong. If you like him, then really, you should date him. Why not?

Wow! You like him but aren't sure if your friends, the ones you actually like as opposed to the ones you're just fake friends with, will think he's weird and he isn't as popular as you so you don't want to drop down any...
You should leave nice people alone so you don't ruin their lives.

Just be friends with him. you like him but you are not 100%, so just hang out until you know what you really want.
