If you change your cell phone number, will it no longer be in service ?
My mobile carrier is Verizon Wireless. If you change your cell phone number, will it no longer be in service ? Will people be able to call the number again ? I keep receiving anonymous calls from people who think that I am a specific person that I am not.

If you think about numbers carefully, there are only a finite amount of number combinations that can be made with seven digits. Therefore, phone numbers have to be re-used. They usually keep the number unused for a short period of time but sooner or later will put it back into service. People are calling the person who had the number before you. If you find it it happening much too often you can request another number from the company.
