Anyone ever gotten their nose pierced with glass jewelry?
I know they make glass bones and spirals, but will a piercer use that as starter jewelry for a fresh piercing?
In my job we're not technically allowed to have facial piercings, I know even if it was clear glass it would still be slightly visible, but maybe not visible enough for my boss to care. Just wondering if anyone has done this or knows someone who has.

Glass would not be used for piercing because of a few reasons. Glass Jewelry is considered fragile, and if somehow it were to break while you had an open wound you could get some glass in the wound. Because glass jewelry is fragile it is usually a little bit thicker than most body jewelry. A piercing is usually done in a small diameter, with metal jewelry. After it heals a little it is then stretched out, at this point you could put some glass jewelry in there.

I've never seen glass piercings in my life, but you can get retainers, which are clear plastic, for hiding a piercing. I'd go wit hone of them :)
