That's a cheap way out, but guys are notorious for not knowing what to get on gift-giving occasions...It's certainly not anything to make an issue of...if she's not happy with it, she can simply tell him (with a sweet smile) she appreciates him replacing the teapot he broke, and she'll let him take her shopping for something new for her birthday gift... ☺

What is your problem here? Are you really complaining that he bought you a teapot and then when he broke it by accident, he replaced it? Is your biggest problem that you got the same gift for your birthday as something you got for Christmas? Seriously?

Yeah you should demand more presents, that's reasonable.

This is not directly on point but please....

If divorce becomes necessary don’t see an attorney. You will both need an attorney to file the papers but that should cost very little. Get a mediator that specializes in divorce – he or she will know the law and what your rights are, When they work out the details an attorney can file the result with the court. Attorneys have an incentive to cause conflict and make trouble between the parties – more phone calls – more talks – more billable hours. I’ve been through this twice – I am friends with but ex’s and we compared notes – the attorneys exaggerated things, one made up phone calls, one made up things people said to make us mad at each other – all to drag things out and create conflict – do yourself a favor and don’t get an attorney involved until you have gotten together with a mediator and working out the details in an environment that is not conflict driven.

Here are a few web pages where you can get more info.

    Good luck!

Cool. Now if he can get the first one fixed cheaply he has an ideal mother's day gift!

No. Not alright. Not very thoughtful. But not a big enough deal to get too bent out of shape over. I would just take some opportunity to point it out to him and let it go.

He should have replaced it when he broke it and get her something different for her birthday. He's trying to take the easy way out.

LMAO at least he was nice enough to replace it. He probably seen it as a nice gesture, men are wired differently than women so to him he probably didn't see it as getting the same one for a different occasion he seen it as him making up for the broken one! Don't get amd at him he is just a guy they don't understand things!

Replacing it is the right thing to do. The timing is off though. I agree that he should have replaced it promptly.
