Fixes for LCD monitors being blurry in the middle?

I just bought a new LCD monitor to replace an old CRT monitor. It's a 21.5" Acer H213H. The left and right sides of the screen look fine but the middle looks slightly blurry, and it drives my brain crazy. Is there a fix for this? is it normal, or should I take it back? It was on clearance, so I don't know if I'll be able to exchange it.

Blurriness is NOT normal, but it's not fixable on a flat panel display.

However, before returning it, make sure your screen resolution is set to the full 1920x1080 resolution used by that HD monitor. Trying to display a resolution other than the actual pixel count of a LCD monitor will cause distortion (CRT monitors were much more adaptable this way) and it's not the monitor's fault, its a technology limitation.
