Is Hyderabad, India a dangerous city?

Not even close to STL, DET & WPG. Not sure about Memphis, Houston and Chicago, but those three cities are by far way more dangerous. Plus, Indians are generally very respectful, and have lots of doctors, so if anything happens, doctors will help you out.

It depends where you're going. Just make sure you're not going to the slums. I'm from Hyderabad, but i now live in New Jersey. Hyderabad has its ups and its downs. The only thing you should be scared about is the back streets and stuff like that. Make sure you're not walking alone in the city at night. It's possible to get mugged. It's even more dangerous for a girl, but you're not a girl. So i think you can handle yourself there.

St Louis, Detroit are way to dangerous compared to Hyderabad. The Hyderabad crime rate is too low in comparison to the cities you have named...

not dangerous but worst to visit. Only because of agitations,protests and strikes by politecians. Now hyderabad is BAD.

Who said its dangerous?its safe city.UN reported that hyderabad is best place in india to do business.now a days because of strikes its being disturbed.but it is safe now.you can visit now.we are always welcome to foreigners.
