Have you ever seen elephants with tipped tusks at the circus?

Is that something they don't do anymore? I saw a cartoon and the elephant had tips on the tusks that were rounded rather than pointy.

This practice is not normally done anymore because they shave and sometimes cap the tusks for the safety of the handlers and the animals they are kept with. Even with the tipped tusks elephants can be extremely dangerous if they are long.
