Jose Contreras or Sean Burnett who is a better RP to have?

Contreras is a good temp option but is Burnett a better long term option?

Well, I agree with everybody who realizes they won't keep closing once their respective 9th inning guys come back. You know what you'll get from Contreras, steady - but very unspectacular. Burnett is somewhat of a wild-card - so I'd think he's got the potential upside of this pair...

Definitely Contreras. It's pretty much guaranteed neither guy has a shot at the closing job long term. Contreras is simply keeping the seat warm for Lidge, while Storen is no doubt the closer of the future for the Nats, they have not given up on him I can assure you that. With that said, in the short term, it's definitely Contreras. He did well in the closing role last season when he also had it temporarily and he pitches for a team that should provide a good amount of saves. The Phillies have made it clear they prefer Contreras in the ninth and Madson in the eighth right now, no worries are necessary.

Neither is assured of a permanent job as closer. Burnett is receiving opportunity just because Drew Storen has faultered, and Contreras could be replaced by Madson at any time. Out of the two I would gamble, because that is my nature, and I would go with Burnett. At the same time keep an eye on Madson in case an opportunity arises.
