iwas reading da vincis, note books recently , and he mentions about plant life at the bottom of the sea , why are they not subjected to pressure , i think we have all seen films of submarines cracking under the pressure as the sink below a certain level , so why not a relatively fragile plant

It has to do with adaptation.
Many deep-sea organisms would die if they were brought up to the surface. They're designed for/adapted to the pressure.
