Havent had period since January...should I be concerned?

Hi, I'm 18 and I last had my period back in January (definitely not pregnant). I've always been regular before this. However, I've also lost about 25 lbs since Jan, and I've read that weight loss can disrupt these things. Should I be concerned/see a doctor (since I'm pretty sure I know the reason why)?

well if this is your first time that you haven't had your period since you first got it for the first time then your OK. But if its not your first time that you have skipped your period then i would go and see a doctor. Have you taking a home pregnancy test to see if you pregnant cause that could be it? I know this form my experiences growing up and almost getting pregnant my self. Ever time my period was late i always took a home test to see if i was pregnant. They are good to keep around for when you need them. Well if its your weight loss that is causing your period to not come then i will go to the doctor's to see what you can about that but i would rule out pregnancy first though. I hope this helps.

my gynecologist told me its healthy to be irregular but when you're period hasn't come in like 3 months then there may be a problem and you need to have it checked. my nana didn't have a period for 18 weeks and they took her ovaries out. idk if that's whats going to happen to you so don't get all freaked out. just go have it checked
