Not segregated? No ghettos? Not Charlotte. Try the surrounding areas like Concord. Concord is nice, it's about 20 - 30 minutes away from downtown Charlotte and is a nice area. Nice homes are inexpensive and the cost of living is much lower. A fair trade-off for a 25 minute drive to uptown.
