can only connect to the internet through google chrome?

does anyone know what has gone wrong, normal google will not allow me to connect to the internet, is it a virus?, also the sound on my lap-top has gone, many thanks all.

Update:

now im getting shockwave flash has crashed, system restore has been disabled and its also say that im not connected to the internet,well i am, something wrong i think lol

    do a system restore then do a virus scan

    Yeah It seems like you got a virus in your system, take backup of your work and all important documents and try scan virus if still facing the same problem best option is to format your system.
