Is this a cockchafer beetle larva?

I found several 4cm long, plump white 'caterpillars' burrowing in my garden. An earlier answered question makes me think they may be larvae of cockchafer beetles. If you are familiar with those, please look at my photo http://www.flickr.com/photos/28270165@N04/56034961... and tell me whether I am right.

    Yes. Caterpillars don't have those three pairs of true legs up front. Usually we photograph these side on, to get more information.
