What is "Light Sauce" in Chinese dishes?

I ordered "Chicken and spinach in light sauce" for lunch today, to try something new...and I was just wondering what is the actual sauce? It wasn't a soy sauce...it was clear and a little thicker...What is it? What is in it? Maybe I could get some nutritional information, if anyone knows that???

Thhhanks! :D

Light sauce generally refers to a low salt sauce like soy, but what you had could be anything.

You would need to ask them, but generally they keep them secret, that they make up daily to their own recipe.

I have seen numerous Asian chefs on the Food Channel will show you some of the ingredients for their Mother Sauce. They then use that, adding other ingredients for particular meals.

That's just some kind of stock + starch. Most likely chicken stock and corn starch. :)
