How do PS3 downloads work?
Alright. I have the Black Ops game. And I attempted to download the first strike map pack, but it didn't work. It said that there wasn't enough space. How exactly does the download work? Does it download onto the COD disk, or onto a hard drive within the PS3?

Game disks cannot be "burned" so it will not be on the disk but the HDD of your PS3. If you go to system settings / about PS£ you can find out how much space is left. Make sure there is plenty of room for your DLC (usually less than 1GB is needed) If not you will need to consider deletion of files such as demo's and installed games you no longer play. This will help with future games that require a lot of HDD space to install

All download go to the Ps3, so you might just need to clear up some hard drive space, or if you need more space by an external hard drive (they are cheaper) to store all your music and videos on and use the ps3 for game files etc.

It places the the download on to the hardrive, i suggest if there is to much space to uninstall demos and music and some pictures or games that you never play anymore.( if you do not know how to uninstall games then you just go in to saved data conttent in the game catagory in the xmb menu and just click trinagle and click uninstall. Hope this helps
