CG125 Electrical Problem?

Basicaally, whenever i try to use my indicators they wont come on, there is no response from the indicators themselves or on the indicator light on the dash, although there is a clicking/fizzling from the relay, im not too sure why it is but the indicators suddenly start working when the bike gets to really high revs, i'm thinking the battery needs replacing but i just wanted some advice from someone a bit wiser than me, thanks in advance

Update:

Something i forgot to mention, It has just had a full engine and wiring loom change, the bike originally was the 2001 kick start model, the new engine and loom are from an 02 kick and electric start, would the 02 model have a higher voltage battery? It might explain the indicators flashing in accordance with the revs, the higher the revs the faster they flash, also the headlight main beam only works at higher revs, sorry for not mentioning this earlier.

It IS the battery! When you rev the motor, the alternator is producing enough voltage for the load of the lights to trip the relay. When the motor is idling, the voltage sags, and the relay no longer works. If the relay were the problem, the lights would not flash under any conditions.

Not the battery. A problem with that will show up with all your lights and electrics.

It may be the indicator switch or the relay that's faulty. The noises suggest that you have sparking inside the indicator unit. This may be due to an intermittent internal connection or a problem with the wire connectors. High engine revs will increase the voltage at the flasher unit by enough to overcome high resistance joints. This "solution" won't last for long before it packs up completely. If you can replace the flasher unit itself easily then try that first.

Replace the flasher relay. Had the same problem once, new flasher relay fixed the problem. A new flasher relay would cost a couple of dollars. If it does not fix the problem, at least you know it is not the relay and it only cost you a couple of dollars. Do this first before getting a new battery.
