If this is what I had, every time you search or type in a page it redirects your browser? It could be your proxy settings, in firefox, got to Tools - Options - Advanced (top picture tabs) - Network (Text tabs) - Settings, then check to see if there is Manual Proxy settings in there, if so, select Use systems proxy settings.
If the same problem exists, from either no settings being manual or changed at all, you need to go to the properties of your network, in Windows Vista and 7 go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections or in XP go to Start Menu - Network Connections and Press the right mouse button on the Local area connection and select Properties, then double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4) and check to see if your DNS settings are set to Obtain DNS Automatically.
As this will redirect your internet connection to this server first before going out to the web, which causes your browser show the unwanted site all the time.
Hope this may help.
