Earthquakes only affect small areas. Japan has 4 main islands. 3 of those are totally unaffected by these quakes, the 4th has damage confined to two areas.

The rest of Japan continues with life as usual.

You means will the land survive? I'm sure the land will remain there regardless how many Earthquakes there are. I doubt extensive Earthquakes will kill all the inhabitants of Japan too.

and Japan has built their buildings to survive those sizes of Earthquakes. Granted there is extensive damage but Japan is on a major fault and their building styles show that.

I nonetheless think of there could be extra. I stay interior the U. S. and doubtless its not a stable thought to construct them in areas like San Francisco or Miami the place they might have massive earthquakes or hurricanes, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it may well be stable to construct them alongside the east coast and the midsection of the rustic. There are hundreds already in life interior the U. S. and that they dont have issues.

Japanese are extremely hardworking people with maximum resilience. Remember 1945 -Hiroshima & Nagasaki. They bounced back to make Japan a great nation. I'm sure they'll again come out stronger.

"Survive?" With 127 million people, yes, I think Japan will survive. Hundreds of thousands of people have been affected in devastating ways though.

Sorry but the newest aftershock was a 7.1 (not a 6.3) on the day of the Earth quake they had around 20 aftershocks of ~6 on the Richter scale and ~100 that were 5 on the Richter scale

    Of course.

They survived (and thrived) after dual nukings in 1945.

Did far better than Detroit after electing democrats.
