How can I get money for a science project?

My friend and I desire to construct a little machine called a supercritical dryer to experiment with aerogels (extremely "undense" solid like substances). However, we are both in high school and can not afford to spend $750 to $1500 to build this. Does anybody know any grants (or anything that will give us money) to build a supercritical dryer?

You could patent the idea for a few hundred and try and license it to a company or university to make it for you. Or you could try to get a grant from the government or a private investor. These routes require the investors to have interest, which they might not have for that particular experiment but if you could come up with something they're willing to give you money for which you could do, and you have money left over from finishing that task or you get paid, then you could fund it yourself.
