What do the person who works in preventive maintenance usually do?

    preventive maintenance are done by Technicians or Engineers. There no specific job name but some companies do give titles like

    Maintenance Engineer/Technician.

    Preventive maintenance is schedule or periodic maintenance done avoid "expected breakdown" and extend the life span of a machine or car.

    For example, if a car tyre can last for 20,000km a preventive engineer would have it replaced at 19,500km to avoid puncture and etc.
