If you are talking about the orange "Top Contributor" badge, that is a dynamic lable. You have to maintain a certain level of CURRENT answers and Best Answers to KEEP that badge.
So, you CAN lose it, by answering less, getting less Best Answers, etc. But you can also get it back, or even get one in a totally new category. Updates generally happen on Mondays.

you likely are on the sting of point 5 and point 4 and once you ask questions your factors knock you right down to a point 4 and you loose your banner. After a mutually as you have gotten a sluggish adequate volume of factors to maintain your banner. No concerns hun, you will get it returned lol. :)
