How to detect or prevent gamers to Cheat in online xbox 360 games?

Your best bet is to use your own computer and server to play games. If someone comes in and cheats or hacks, they are in technical violation of the law directly with you, not through microsoft or sony. You can sue them and prosecute them directly.

Proxy servers give hackers a false sense of security, especially when they don't realize how easy it is for state prosecutor's offices to get information from foreign law enforcement. They often don't even ask for a warrant, but give the info willingly.

The alternative is to join game groups that play themselves and require a subscription to enter. They can easily ban hackers.

The 360 is by far the best system to have to play online. The only cross platform game I can think of is Final Fantasy XI. It's a pretty cool game that lets 360, PS3 and PC users play together I think. Don't quote me on that. I have a 360 and I played the game for a while and I remember people saying they were on a PC and the PS3 also has the game so I'm assuming they are on the same servers since you have to pay a monthly subscription of around $12 to play.

If using custom maps, the map may have been 'modded' to add units, money, speed

There is no way to prevent cheaters/hackers from alternating things to desire. if you come across one, all you can do is report them, but that's a waste of time because they always sneak back in unfortunately....

u cant stop cheaters, you cant prevent them. all u can do is report them to xbox.
