Why did I get this message?

So a random message appeared saying "hi." It said that Yahoo.com said it. It appeared again and asked if I wanted to not show new boxes, I clicked on it and it didn't come back. Why did that happen?

    It seems that somehow chat has entered Y!A, perhaps by a hacker.

    when you clikc to have the new boxes not show,there was nothing more to do.It was done,that is why it did not come back again.
