can i use hand sanitizer instead of rubbing alcohol?

i tried to find rubbing alcohol so that i could dip my razor in there as people say it increases the life of the blade because when you dip it in it the alcohol evaporates and also the water crystal evaporates with it.

can i use deodorant or hand sanitizer instead, deodrant has 95%ethanol and it evaporates fast and hand sanitizer is also alcohol based.

Update:

i cant find any rubbing alcohol in my country

No, while water will evaporate along with alcohol, the other ingredients in the sanitizer wont, or at least not as quickly, leaving a gunky film on the blade.

You'll just have to write this blade off, but... later today you could stop by almost any store and pick up some rubbing alcohol for about a dollar (USD).

    Additional details:

Can't find rubbing alcohol in your country? How odd! Your profile says "Beverly Hills California", which is in the U.S., at least it was last time I checked. Certainly there are drugstores near you where you could find it.

to disinfect my scissors i cheat sometimes and use hand sanitizer but i find that it leaves a residue because of the moisturizing effects? you should prolly just stick to rubbing alcohol. just to play it safe. but one time won't kill it
