Will Starlin Castro be the next .400 hitter?

Possibly if they do not over use him. But its the Cubs so they will do that, so I would say no. He will finish the season around .335

Why would anyone think that? He's started out hot, but somebody always starts out hot before cooling down. .300 would be a good year for him.
Ted Williams was the last .400 hitter. That was 60 years ago. There have been a lot of great hitters who came close, but always have come up short. Starlin Castro is not one of them.
Besides, if you are going to ask about somebody hitting .400, there are a few that are over .400 now. BTW, they're not going to make it either.

I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb here by saying that Starlin Castro will NEVER hit .400 in MLB
A better question might be, will he draw more walks than he'll commit errors this season
He's running neck & neck this year 2-2, and last year it was 27 errors and 29 walks, so....

If Ichiro didn't do it, nobody else will. Anybody who wants to hit .400 would need to average about 2 hits per game.
