15 years and looking for a job?
Hello, I will be turning 15 soon and I need to get a job. I live in Washington and was wondering what I could do once I turn 15. I was told that I could volunteer at a hospital like door greeting or something and that way I would have a foot in the door.
I was also thinking that maybe I would be able to bag groceries.
But even still, I am not sure what I can do or if I have to wait till I am 16. I don't really know much about the whole thing, plus I know that Washington has some rules that are dif. from other places.
I really want to work at a restaurant like Red Robbins. (like a waitress)
-Oh, and just incase you started to freak out over schooling, I will keep up with school. Don't worry. Plus I will be going to running start at the collage.
Please help, no rude comments please. Thanks!
(oh, and I will be baby sitting and stuff like that. Please don't tell me stuff like that.)
I think I should also ask what you think I should do for a career.
Okay, so I love:
Drawing
Writing
Animals
reading
Singing (though to myself)
cooking
learning
learning dif. languages
Karate

You can work at age 14 in Washington. Start applying everywhere. Your parents have to sign a Parent/School Authorization Form that you get at your nearest school.
Apply at a golf course. That could be fun.
Go to the nearest hospital and offer to help. That could be a great entry for you into the work force.

Some fast food places might hire you, but you will have work restrictions.

A good place to start your search would be at your High School Career Center ( if your school has one).
