NRHH: What do you think about my 2011 NBA Playoffs predictions?
-------------------First Round (East):-----------------------
[Chicago] > Pacers [sweep]
Pacers dont have anything for Drose
Magic < [Hawks] [6]
-Hawks are pretty underrated, both teams are inconsistent, and this is the only upset in the East
[Celtics] > Knicks [5/6]
The only reason that the Knicks go to 6 is because of Billups, other then that Pierce + Garnett > Melo + Amare
[Heat] > 76ers [5]
-76ers win one at home
--------------------------------------First Round (West):--------------------------------
Grizzlies < [Spurs] [sweep]
- Although Spurs are gonna sweep, i say around 2 close games with Spurs coming out top, simply because they are more clutch.
Hornets < [Lakers] [sweep]
-This should be easy for LA, because Hornets don't even have David West.
[Thunder] > Nuggets [5]
-People always seems to forget about Russell Westbrooke, he has pretty much the same stats as D.rose, and OKC has homecourt advantage, and it's one of the hardest places to win.
[Blazers] > Mavs [7]
-The Blazers match up very well with the Mavs with Roy + Aldridge + Wallace, and i see them stealing one @ Dallas
--------------------------------------Conference Semi's (East)-----------------------------------------
[Bulls] > Hawks [5/6]
-Bulls are just more consistent
Heat < [Celtics] [6]
-The Key to the C's victory is Garnett, as long as Garnett is able to shut down Bosh, the C's will win it, since it's proven that the Heat is a team that is less than likely to win without top performances from their big 3
---------------------------------------Conference Semi's (East)-----------------------------------------------------
Spurs < [Thunder] [7]
-If the Thunder take one at San Antonio, they are gonna win the series, the Thunder are faster and more athletic then the Spurs, which is key for a 7 game series (which i predict will happen)
[Lakers] > Blazers [5/6]
Although the Blazers aqquired Wallace. Aldridge + Wallace + Roy, isn't enough to beat Gasol + Bynum + Kobe in a 7 game series
--------------------------------------Confrence Finals (East)---------------------------------------
Bulls < [Celtics] [6]
-C's have a better bench, which allows their big 3 to get more rest, and Shaq and Delonte West should be back to 100% by then, which would be vital in Celtics winning the series.
---------------------------------------------Confrence Finals (West)-------------------------------------
[Lakers] > Thunder [7]
-As a Laker fan i can honestly say that i'm worried about a Laker vs Thunder matchup. Last year, the thunder nearly knocked off the Lakers, but didn't because they had problems with Lakers bigs, now that the Thunder aqquired Perkins, they should give the Lakers a hard time. I see this series being equal to the Celtics vs Bulls series in the 2010 playoffs. Lakers come out, because they have the better closer, Odom coming off the bench, and Artest should be guarding Durant.
----------------------------------------------------NBA Finals-------------------------------------------------------
[Lakers] > Celtics [6]
-Lakers 3-peat, and celtics lose for the same reason they lost last year. No Kendrick Perkins.
Can someone please explain HOW the bulls are able to beat the Celtics?
Remember this is a 7 game battle. Although Celtics don't have Kendrick Perkins, Bulls aren't that much of a problem in the front court knowing that the Celtics still have Garnett and Glen Davis, and Glen Davis has proven to be an excellent player when it comes to playoff time. If you seen the Celtics play last year in the playoffs.
@BlowUp
isn't defense more important than offense? besides, KG + Pierce = more Chemisty, Knicks have been struggling, and i remember seeing i stat that the Melo's On-Court impact is negative-1.7pts and Amare's is 0.7pts or something like that.
Magic is an inconsistent team
Pacers don't really have that star type player and Bulls are a consistent team. Heat are less consistent, and all though it IS less than likely the 76ers steal one, it still is more likely than the Pacers stealing one, since they actually have a player that can carry the team (iguodala)
-Spurs sweep Grizzlies, that isn't a far fetch prediction.
-Durant choked? that was his first playoffs experience, and they were knocked off by the Lakers, if Durant choked, then i can pretty much say the same for D Rose, and with the addition of Perkins, it's less weight for Durant to carry

ill only comment on the first round predictions
- Pierce + Garnett > Melo + Amare = Wrong.. only defensively
- Hawks suck against good teams
-76ers win one at home against Heat.. but Pacers can't take 1 from Bulls?
- Spurs will not sweep.. not even close, they have struggled lately and Grizzlies are a very good/deep team
- Nuggets are the deepest team in the NBA, Durant has proven to be a choker in the Playoffs as of now, Thunder will not take them in 5 games
edit: - not really defense isnt more important than offense. U cant be complete sh*t defensively to win a championship tho, but great offense/decent defense > great defense/decent offense.. and I never gave my opinion on Knicks/Celtics cuz im split at this point, Celtics have been lost and they dont really have Superstars like the Knicks.. Melo or Amare could single handily carry the Knicks to win a game, old man Pierce and KG cannot, if Rondo doesnt get it together they're in big trouble unless they get it together as a team
- Magic is an inconsistent team.. true that, but not as inconsistent as the Hawks who always get blown out by good teams.. they could not stop Dwight last year, and wont this year
- Bulls have Rose, that's it... u can't really expect Boozer, Deng, Noah etc.. to step it up BIG if he had a bad game.. but if LeBron did, Wade is there and so is Bosh.. Pacers will prob get a win
- Manu gonna miss the first game, and when he comes back he still won't be 100 % healthy.. Grizzlies frontcourt is better than Spurs, and they match up good against them.. not a sweep, if anything, this might be an upset
- Rose choked? lol no, he led the Bulls to a 7 games series against the Celtics, and had a historic Game 1 with 36 points and 11 assists.. Durant was having 5 of 23 type of games with Westbrook carrying them vs Lakers

Don't underestimate NYC
Nuggets will not lose in 5 game cmon now
I'm not sure Mavericks will go to 7 but at least you got the pick right
Heat - Celtics matchup is very intriguing, it could go either way but if Boston is not healthy they will lose
Thunder over Spurs is a very bold pick
Agree with LA winning in 6 vs Portland
Celtics in 6? Man, I say Bulls in 6! This series is going to be ALL about my man Rajon Rondo and MVP Derrick Rose. Whoever wins this matchup goes to the finals, unless Miami dominates
I like the Lakers in 7,but don't count uot SA if they're healthy
The finals will be Los Angeles - Chicago with Los Angeles in 7
Source(s): @ramswo85 don't count out LA, they have been to the finals the past 3 years and won the last two championships. I still say OKC is too young. Next year is their year. This year is about Miami, Chicago, and LA @Chonkyfire that's why the FIRST thing in the title says NRHH... - ?Lv 51 decade ago
Bulls vs Pacers (easy sweep)
Celtics vs Knicks, sweep or the knicks win 2 games, but in game 6 the knicks, will have a a good 10-15 point lead in the final 5-7 mins and give the game away (Celtics win either way)
Heat vs 6'ers, Philly loses in 6 games
Magic vs Hawks, Heat win in 4-5 games
-----------------------West 1st round
Spurs vs Grizzles, Spurs sweep
Lakers vs Hornets, Lakers win in 5 games
Thunder vs Nuggets, Thunder win in 7
Blazers vs Mavs, Mavs come back from a 3-1 disadvantage
----------------------East 2nd Round
Bulls vs Hawks, Bulls win in 6
Celtics vs Heat, Celtics win in 5
-----------------------West 2nd Round
Spurs vs Lakers, Spurs in 6
Thunder vs Blazers Thunder in 5 games
------------------------East Finals
Celtics vs Bulls, Celtics in 7 games.
Celtics, have better post players, and a better point guard that is rajon rondo, sure Rose gets more points but Rondo is a better playmaker, the C's also have like the best bench in league. Besides Rose, and Boozer the Bulls really lack in many areas, whos ganna guard KG/Shaq, Noah? LOL
Also Peirce & Allen, have proven time and time again to be clutch, and make important shots when things get hectic.
This Series will be very close though
----------------------West Finals
Thunder vs Spurs
Thunder prevail in 6 games
-----------------------------
FINALSSSSSSS
Celtics vs Thunder, Celtics win in 6/7 games
- 1 decade ago
If the Celtics make it past the Knicks (Which I believe won't happen), I don't see them beating the Heat. Especially if Shaq can't return, it will be just like that game on Sunday. Complete dominance. The Heat would win in five.
Also, if the Lakers play the Thunder, they won't win. It's a bad matchup for Lakers, and Kobe won't be able to carry them over that hump.
We'll just have to wait and see...

I think the Nuggets-Thunder series will be 7 games and Thunder will make the Finals

C's have no shot to make it out the East after they traded Perk.
Thunder over Bulls in 7

Boston will be lucky to get past New York. I'm picking NY in 6 at the most.
Lakers/Knicks finals. Watch it happen.

Memphis upsets the Spurs.
Bulls win the ECF, Lakers win the WCF.
