Do you like your middle name?

I hate mine. It is a word from Tahiti where my dad had lived for a couple of years. It always requires a pronunciation lesson and some degree of explanation about what and why, it's a big headache. I was around 6 or 7 years old before I even learned to pronounce it correctly! My mother's middle name is Ann, I don't know why they couldn't have just passed that one down, it would have made my life much easier.

I am NOT including my middle name in this, but I will tell you I have 3 kids and they all have moderately common first and middle names which are spelled and pronounced traditionally to save them the headaches I have dealt with thanks to my middle name.

By the way, I don't think Quincy's that bad. People have heard of it they can pronounce it and they can spell it with ease so you are well ahead of me there!

It's Douglas.

The name has been passed down on my Mother's side of the family for generations.

My Grandfather (on my Mother's side) had Douglas as his middle name,also.

I never pay attention to it. BTW I'm not impressed.
