What's with these iTunes charges?

After seeing the first charges from iTunes on my Chase credit card bill, I noticed many inconsistencies. Even though the songs cost 0.99 and 1.29, with albums costing more, I have charges ranging from 0.31 to 13.42. I understand that there are probably taxes and hidden fees I should have figured out before, right? I have figured out that they (or Chase) combine(s) purchases on the bill, but that said, it still doesn't add up. Does anyone else have these problems?

Update:

haha yeah man i use both. i just had some problems with one site so i tried itunes. i know what you mean, im probaby going to stop using itunes already.
