and i I have a question is it normal for two dudes to call eachother (mi amor) in the hispanic community ! Is Mi amor used as a loose term can you call anyone that or is it like meant for special people thats in your life.

    I guess in certain parts of that community. In the English speaking community, certain words are acceptable to some and the exact same words are MAJOR insults and offensive among other English speaking people.

    I spent over 30 years around Spanish speaking people and I never heard of what you said.

    Words used in one part of the United States can mean totally opposite in another state.

    Some older Hispanic people are offended by some terms and others see the same words as cool and hip.

    It is the same with English and perhaps others.

    It is possible that the guys you are hearing are having an inside joke. I knew two young men that would routinely use gross, horrible insults toward each other and they were friends.

    Some Americans of a certain decent will say bad things about the other's Mother and it is called "Playing the Dozens" (I think) I never participate in that kind of thing. I never want anyone saying something negative about my Mother or Father.
