Is a full moon or new moon significant to inland freshwater fishing for gamefish?

    I never believed in that stuff unlit I became a member of B.A.S.S. some years ago. In their magazine you'll find a sun & moon phase chart (astro table).

    If you are in the right place holding BASS - it'll be like a switch being turned on & off almost. Links below. But...like I said before, you gotta find 'em first.

    That's a good question. I know people that are fanatic bass fishermen and catch bass when most people can't. And yet they will have opposing viewpoints on what is the best moon phase for catching bass.

    Going by that, I would have to say it makes little difference to the bass.Most of the time it is the local weather pattern that will determine how well the bass bite. But most fishermen, my self included will have more confidence in a time period in which they have had success in the past, which ever moon phase it happens to be.

    A full moon somehow will cause the fish to bite more, they are more wild on a night with a full moon (just like us humans) lol
