good new mmo to play?

You're in luck, as there are so many good MMO's out now. If you're looking for a good free MMO, try Lord of the Rings online. It's doing really well and you actually don't have to fork out that much cash to have fun with it. I was in it at beta and I had a blast with it.

There's also the newly released Rift. It's a fun alternative to WoW -- you'll feel right at home with the similar interface and controls, but there's a lot of fun content included. Random rifts open as you're exploring the world and people can group up to defeat the monsters that come out of them for rewards. Also, the PvP is pretty nice, as class customization is pretty deep.

I was into Aion during Beta and launch before it just became a giant grind and lagfest for me. You might enjoy it; if you have friends that play it with you, it's much more fun.

Some upcoming awesome MMOs are Tera, The Old Republic, and, of course, Guild Wars 2. If you're willing to wait, I'd definitely buy Guild Wars 2. It's looking great and I was a huge fan of the first one.

Ultimately, it's about what kind of game you want to play. If you have friends that are into other MMOs, try them if you haven't already -- let them ease you into it. Have fun and good luck!

The game Guild Wars is an amazing game, i have it myself and love it. If what you want is something where you can pick and choose what you want to be, choose how to battle and basically do what you want. its separated into three different 'Campaigns', meaning that although the basic mechanics are the same, the plots, people and the continents are different. But the neat thing is, once your part way through the game, you can meet on another (fourth Continent) that is used for all of the campaigns.It is a multiplayer game, but the only place you can see other people that aren't in your party is in the towns. so when your out in the explorable areas (where the monsters are) you can be all by yourself. Its a great fantasy game that can keep you addicted for weeks. and the best part, totally free once you buy it.

I second League of Legends. You can also buy Warcraft 3. Many people play it, and the game itself is so versatile. You have tower defenses, rpgs (Although they're pretty bad), RTS games, survivals, and more packed into one awesome game. Lord of the rings battle for middle earth series is also a good choice for MMORTS games.

If you want something free, then illegally download them!!!! Lol I'm joking. Seriously though, check them out on youtube. Pretty ill ****.

League of legends is an awesome game i left WoW about 7 months ago. I found this game and i really enjoy it you should check it out.

Google up project blackout game its really fun its a fps kinda like cod but over 400 guns :O so yea id download it i played it was awesome i think ud like it

I don't know any others than you said but i hear Amnesia the dark descent is pretty good i don't thinks it's multiplayer.
