First time on this site, not exactly sure how to use it yet(name for my son)?
I'm not exactly sure how this site works yet, I just came across it on google while searching names. My husband and I are expecting our third child. We have two daughters(Talia June and Irina Lorraine) and our expected child is a boy. These are the names that we are considering.
Mackenzie Elliot
Jacob Addison
Nathaniel Casper
Riley Gerard
Avery Benjamin
Sebastian Ashley
would you please choose the one you like most?
Thank you
Sincerely, Joanna

Welcome to Yahoo Answers :)
...and wow, I really like all of your names!
Mackenzie Elliot - 7/10. I'm so glad you're using Mackenzie on a boy! I'm fed up of seeing it on girls. Mackenzie a strong, masculine name and it flows really well with Elliot. The combo Elliot Mackenzie also sounds nice. I think Mac is a cute nickname :)
Jacob Addison - 6/10. Jacob is a really handsome name but it's so popular at the moment! Jake is a great nickname that will suit a guy of any age. Jacob Addison doesn't flow amazingly well but it isn't awful either. I would prefer Jacob Avery, Jacob Elliot or Jacob Ashley.
Nathaniel Casper - 9/10. Nathaniel is one of my favourite boy names at the moment! When I hear it I think of a tall, dark, good-looking guy who is really kind and sensitive. I'm not fond of Casper but it flows quite well with Nathaniel.
Riley Gerard - 8/10. Riley is another one of my favourite names! And once again, I'm glad you're using it on a boy. I imagine a guy named Riley to be laid-back, smart and funny. However, I don't like the name Gerard and would prefer Riley Benjamin, Riley Casper or Riley Jacob.
Avery Benjamin - 10/10. This combination is absolutely perfect! The names flow great together and neither name is too common. I honestly don't have a bad word to say about it. Benjamin Avery would also be an awesome name :)
Sebastian Ashley - 8/10. Even though Sebastian has been gaining popularity recently, it still isn't too popular, which is always a good thing. Sebastian Ashley flows beautifully and I'll say it again: I am SO glad you are using Ashley on a boy! It's manly and overused on girls, but on a guy it's fresh and cool. Nice choice.
Good luck! Hope I helped ;) xx

Y!Answers is a useful site for getting opinions from the general public. There is a wide variety of tastes and styles here, and it is a more diverse environment than most websites devoted completely to names. Here you are likely to find trendy, traditional, and eccentric namers.
Here are a few baby name forums in case you are interested:
http://nameberry.com/nametalk/
http://www.babynamegenie.com/community/index.php?s...
http://www.parentsconnect.com/parenting-boards/bab...
^Most of these sites also contain information about names. I personally find Nameberry to have the best forum and index
Here are some name resources:
http://www.parenting.com/babynames/
http://youcantcallitit.com/7-deadly-trends/
^I've found parenting.com has some interesting opinions on names, namenerds.com explains the mechanics of naming, and behindthename.com is the most reliable source of information. The 7 deadly trends article is a must for anyone who wants to avoid following trends in naming accidentally.
Now, as far as Yahoo goes, it is the simplest thing... you just ask as question and when you have enough answers or the question has been out there long enough, you pick the one that was most helpful. You also answer other peoples' questions by going to the baby name section (or venturing outside of it) or by looking at a particular person's profile. I put all this information to help you, though you obviously aren't new to naming, I figured it couldn't hurt. ;)
Thalia June,
Irina Lorraine
&
Mackenzie Elliot - Two unisex names together. If I didn't know you were having a boy I would guess this was a female name. And yes, Elliot is becoming unisex (not that I approve. It is a male name to me). If you don't believe me, Google it.
Jacob Addison - Sound ok, but I personally despise Jacob. I'm in college and I swear I know ten of them.
Nathaniel Casper - This one definitely fits your two daughters the best. It is traditional with an eccentric flair and I like it.
Riley Gerard - I don't feel these name match well enough in style to feel right together.
Avery Benjamin - Avery feels extremely trendy and Benjamin feels popular/classic. They are ok together.
Sebastian Ashley - Too much S sound here, it overpowers the name.
In general it seems like you like using unisex names (Riley, Mackenzie, Elliot, Addison, Avery, and Ashley), some unusual names (Gerard, Casper), and some popular/classic names (Nathaniel, Jacob, Benjamin, and Ashley). I do applaud you using traditionally male but going female names (like Riley, Avery, and Addison) as strictly boy names. I just worry that most people here and elsewhere will assume "girl". Your daughter's names, however, are distinctly feminine, which is lovely. Thalia and Irene are uncommon while June and Lorraine are fairly standard middle names.

There's not a lot to explain about ole Y!A, but I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time.
Personally, I feel that Talia June and Irina Lorraine's little brother would be Nathaniel Casper, out of the names you've listed. They make a beautiful sib-set, and the individual names are gorgeous -- well done!

Well, welcome Joanna.
It's nice of you to join us!
Your other children's names are beautiful. The 2 names that I feel go nicely with your others are Nathaniel Casper and Avery Benjamin. Kudos to you for using boy's name on a boy. Names like Addison, Riley, Avery, & Ashley are better on boys. So good job! My favorite is Nathaniel Casper.
Hope this helps!

it's easy, just ask questions (which will subtract 5 points) then answer questions for two points, the more points you have the higher the level. Plus being chosen as best answer will give you ten points.
okay now on to the name....
Nathaniel Casper

Nathaniel Casper is my favourite, although I don't think it goes so well with your daughters' names. Irina is Russian, Talia sounds a bit Hispanic, so Nathaniel really sticks out (the rest of them do too, actually).
I'd pair them with something like:
Roman
Ezra
Victor
Gabriel
Ivan
Oliver
Luka/Lucas
Leo
Elias

personally i like Nathaniel Casper or Avery Benjamin because they are both very unique and i don't think any other child will have a name like theirs so it would make them feel very special.
