ill for 4 hours illness?

ok i woke up at 8 today, went into town and caught the bus back at 12.30 where i fell asleep on the bus, then i got in at 1pm and felt really ill, dizzyness, cold shivers, goosebumps and drowzyness, this lasted a few hours and i slept through most of it and at 5pm i was boiling under the duvet so got up, had a hot blackcurrent and some ibrufen and paracetomol and now im getting over it, (6pm)

does anyone have any idsea what happened to me? it was hot outside but i was wearing a cap all the time i was out and i was mostly in a super market and in my friends house so i didnt spent long outside in general

    sounds like coming down with a cold. When an infection is brewing your body's resources go to fighting the infection and that's what generally causes the shivers and goosebumps. You did the right thing, rest is important. But do keep warm, even if it feels uncomfortably hot, your body's little furnace is trying to fight whatever infection you have, and if you keep it going hot it will work more effectively. The mistake people often make is trying to cool their bodies when it gets too hot while fighting an infection. That makes the body try to work harder and can result in a higher fever and lengthening the healing process.
