Are these things kosher for passover?

Tuna salad wraps? Are they leavened?

Also, i make a chocolate cake in a mug. its made from flour, sugar, milk, oil, cocoa, eggs, and chocolate chips. It rises a bit. Does that make it Chametz?

Is there a certain ingredient such as wheat or something that i should be avoiding when picking foods?

Sorry but the answers you are seeking are no to the tuna wrap, and no to the cake.

None of these are Kosher for Passover. The wraps are made with leaven, wheat that was exposed to moisture, and many brands use lard, a pork product which makes it non-kosher.

Again the flour was not guarded from moisture from milling forward. Flour when exposed to moisture begins to produce its own yeast. That is why matzo for Passover are different than year round matzo. Matzo for Passover must be mixed only with water and formed and be placed in the oven BEFORE 18 minutes passes.

Wheat, rye, oats, barley, and corn are avoided because they also start to produce their own yeast when exposed to moisture. the Ashkenazi also avoid rice and legumes

Check out this site for much more... excellent info on Judaism and the holidays. http://www.jewfaq.org/

Dart - that's why I suggested the website. If this person is Jewish, it's a great resource for getting to know basics and more about Judaism...and if they aren't, it's a great resource!

Anything with flour from 5 different grains will be chametz except for carefully supervised items meeting the limited time for exposure to raising opportunities.

The wrapper around the tuna salad isn't appropriate for Passover. As for the tuna salad, it depends what goes into it, but in all likelihood the mayonnaise (which is typically used for tuna salad) isn't kosher for Passover.

As for the chocolate cake, the flour isn't kosher for Passover.

wraps are chametz and the cake in the mug you also shouldn't make on passover don't make anything with flour in it

anything with flour (wheat, rye, oat, spelt, or barley ) besides matzoh is chametz. and even the matzah is only made with flour and water and cannot be allowed to be rise (and has to be made within 18 minutes).

I don't know, I'm not Jewish. But I think tuna salad might be (without bread). As for grains, I don't think you can eat those
