Hank Williams Junior was brought up by his mother, Audrey Williams from the age of 3. Hank and Audrey Williams divorced in 1952, and, as we all know, Hank (senior) died on New Years Day,1953.
Audrey had problems with alcohol and drugs, and Hank junior became estranged from her at the age of 18, which indicates that he would have had to learn to 'get by' (The same way I did from the age of 18, and it was not easy). Hank Junior also developed a drugs and alcohol problem during the 1970s, so the lyrics of his song "Family Tradition" ring true.
Hank Williams Junior has received multiple Country Music awards, including 'entertainer of the year' five times. I think that he would have needed to work hard to achieve those accolades.

country songs are stories. lot of them are not written by the singer. But people tend to relate to the song.
Usually the girl meets the guy, cuz it's a guy singing the song.
Farmers can be sexy, therefore they add to the song. What girl doesn't like a guy in a nice pair of jeans and cowboy boots. (and I don't even care for country music much)
