2001 Chevy Blazer gas gauge problem?

So I've looked it up and apparently on a lot of chevy blazers, there's always some problem with the gas gauge. The thing goes up and down all the time and I usually re-do my trip mileage thing every time I fill up to count how many miles I go per fill up, anyways, I have a feeling that it goes a lot further then what I'm usually going. Can someone tell me how many miles you can go on a full tank of gas on a 2001 chevy blazer? I usually go to about 275, but I kinda think it could do about 25 more, and from what I've read the car has a 19 gal tank, and usually when I fill up it's only about 15 gallons and that's when I'm filling up after driving 275 miles. Thanks a lot for any help.

Having owned a 2001 Blazer with a 4.3L V6, I'd say you are getting just the right amount of miles for 15 gallons. The tank will only hold 18.8 gallons and you will have maybe 17 gallons you will use before it stops pumpng. I'd say keep doing what you are doing but Do NOt let it run out of gas as it is bad on the fuel pump, which is in the gas tank. Running it dry will damage it!

I got maybe 260 to 270 on a tank on my Blazer but I never let it go too long when the fuel light came on as I do know I could go 22 miles but I didn't want to chance it!
