Gomes he's 2nd in the league in homeruns with 6. He will keep it up and the redsocks are having a terrible year so go with Gomes!

No, Gomes is on a hot streak to start the year but it's not sustainable. He'll hit for power, but he'll go through long slumps and won't get the necessary playing time over the course of the season to compare to Ortiz. Big Papi will give you .280/30/100 at the end of the day, Gomes won't approach those numbers.
