Best bike for medium distances; 15 year old?
OK well I need the help of a "bike person" on this one. I need to ride my bike 3 miles each way to a bus stop so that i can go to my preferred school. I am 5'7 and 140 lbs. The grade going home is about 15% so I think that it needs multiple gears. Any help? Also, sorry for not knowing correct "bike lingo". I live in Austin...

The best choice would in fact be a multi geared bike. Either a traditional drop bar 'racer' bike or a hybrid. Where are you going to leave the bike when you get on the bus? If you are going to leave it there you are going to need multiple bike locks, and chains. Write another question on this dilemma!
