When a dog drags his rear on the ground or floor, is this a sign that the dog has worms?

Maybe. My dog does this and I took him to the vet and they said there was nothing wrong. I would take him to the vet just in case.

It usually means that his anal glands need to be emptied of the fluid that builds up in them. The vet will be able to fix this problem in two minutes if you don't know how to, and the vet can show you how to empty them in the future yourself.

It could be worms, the anal glands need to be expressed, there's an itch, or some sort of blockage. Usually it's anal glands.

Its a sign that his butt is bothering him and he's trying to scratch it.

What's causing the itchy butt is the question, but no, it doesn't necessarily mean he has worms.
