The news media is more into ratings these days, and unfortunately 95% of the viewing public wants dirt on their favorite celebs. They don't give a sht about what's going on around the world, or in their own country for that matter.

Have you ever seen the movie Idiocracy? If not, I highly recommend it. It's about a guy who time warps 500 years into the future and everyone is REALLY stupid. He ends up saving the world by teaching them to use water on crops instead of Mountain Dew or something like that. That's where we're headed, Darth.

Yes, the news media is extremely biased and those who do not see it are blinded by their belief in their candidate. Although the race for the Democratic nominee is very close, they all seem to have assumed that McCain will get the Republican nomination but it is still a long way from the convention and much can happen. McCain has a temper that could flare up and cause him to lose delegates. Remember that although Romney has supported McCain, his delegates are not obligated too, and the same for other delegates of others who have dropped out. Huckabee has been gaining strength and so has Ron Paul. Has the media discussed this, no! The majority of the news media is very liberal and equally biased and I am fed up with them. They do not represent my values or my interests. I so tired of hearing about CHANGE, knowing they can not and or will not make positive change. They will raise our taxes, create a bigger government so they can raise taxes more, and create more jobs for people who don't really want to work. Just go to any Federal Building and try to get anything done right away. Then 6 months later you might get a response.

It's manipulation, the media pretty much just tells everyone what to care about, instead of having your own priorities and concerns, and a lot of people are only concerned with just Pop culture, so actual news gets thrown in the back seat. It's like being in a bubble. Honestly I don't know how everyone found time for the frakin' Royal Wedding. You know every since the media was created it's been treated as if it was GOD, no matter how ridiculous it was. I think I remember hearing something about in the 40's or 50's, everyone thought aliens invaded the U.S because they heard it on the radio, It was a experiment if I remember right, but everyone was in a huge state of panic and chaos!... I understand people have interests in things besides tragic occurrences but everyone acts as if it's hipper and more relevant in America to know what Lady GaGa wore to the red carpets than it is to know what kind of tragedy is going on in Japan and how much it affected life, and yes that does make me want to vomit.

This world is a ticking time bomb and no man is ever going to change that, it's all just going to get worse.

Yeah, the US media is pretty awful. The nice thing about the internet is you can find news sites that ignore all that crap and focus on the kind of stuff you are talking about.
