Sorry to say .but they do not Kill feather Pillows for their Feathers.

Feathers are gathered from Chickens and Ducks that have been Killed for Human consumption, so they are not wasted.these are the cheapest feather Pillows

However the Eider Ducks Feathers are gathered from their nests in the breeding season as this species self plucks to line it's nest with the Down Feathers, reputed to be the softest and warmest feathers around. The Eider Duck is not harmed in the process of gathering their feathers.

Eider Down Pillows are the dearest to buy because they can only collect these in the birds breeding season.

Hope this has helped in you having a good nights untroubled sleep.

Most feathers are gathered from wild birds, these are gathered from the nests after the birds have left, as for Chickens I cannot say, as I never heard of pillows filled with feathers from Chickens, just from Duck or Goose feathers.
