buying yugioh cards from amazon?

Buying from Amazon is just like buying from eBay (for the most part). So you'll be buying from independent sellers who are just linked through the Amazon site. The main thing is to be sure to look at the entire sale. An item may be listed as just $0.01, but then have $1.99 shipping charge, making it a 2 dollar item essentially.

There's nothing wrong with it, but I'm sure there's nothing out there for just 1 penny, and if so you probably don't want to run it anyway.

Yeah, it's fine.

If you are worried about them ripping you off behind your back, they won't. You'll get what you paid for, I promise you.

But makes sure that before you order, look at the shipping price. See if you can find deals that give you free shipping or such.

And don't forget to pay attention to whom you are buying from, and what condition the item is.

Keep your eyes on the shipping. A lot of people who sell through Amazon will have a seemingly great deal but their shipping is two or three times the price of most other sellers.
