Where can I purchase an ethanol enginer/generator?
I am interested in being able to take straight ethanol (either 95% hydrous or anhydrous) and run a generator with it. I can find Flex Fuel engines all day, but I can't seem to find any engines that are designed/optimized for straight ethanol.
While it may seem like a Flex Fuel engine would be about the same, the requirement to be able to burn gasoline requires the engine to have lower compression and efficiency than if designed for ethanol only. The point in purchasing an engine that will run pure (or azeotropic) ethanol is to be able to do without gasoline entirely. Needing even a little but defeats the purpose.

there is no big differense between flex-fuel engines and engines, optimized for pure ethanol.
all you need - to solve cold start problem (look in wiki about it).
simplest way - use some drops of gasoline into intake till cold start.
