Do Americans see what Obama meant when he said "energy costs need to skyrocket by necessity"?

Obama is economically illiterate. I know he thinks that if energy prices skyrocket, Americans will be forced to invest in alternative energy such as solar and wind. The fact is though, that wind and solar is not the answer. The wind doesn't always blow and the sun doesn't always shine so we must have enough nuclear to meet peak demands during these time periods. There simply isn't enough land in this country to put wind farms up everywhere. Farmland is more important.

Obama also believes in taxing the hell out of coal companies to run them out of business, but the reality is that anytime you impose taxes, fees or penalties on energy companies, financial institutions, corporations, and businesses, they have no choice to pass the cost on to the consumer. We pay for it, not them. Some people just can't figure that out.

I have to tell you that so much of their logic is flawed it's absolutely insane that people fall for it.

For example, Pelosi said there was nothing wrong with extending unemployment benefits. It will stimulate the economy. Well the fact is it subsidizes their lifestyle. Instead of forcing them to move in with relatives or downsize and accept lower paying jobs, we are foced to take on more liabilities. This country already has $14 trillion in liabilities. I think that's enough.

He meant that he needs the value of his green energy stocks to increase.

Reasonable people knew what he meant before he started doing it.

He said it and they didn't believe him. Next is coal, gas and other forms of energy. He will probably disallow burning of wood as well.

Everyone seems to forget that during the election, he said that it wasn't fair that we were not paying as much as they were in Europe.
